Fun Christmas

We had such an awesome Christmas in Utah. It was fun to be back and visit all of our old friends and family. I didn't realize how much I missed Utah til we went back. We got to go to a lot of fun places. We went to this awesome rec center in Lehi where they had a fun pool for the kids, we went to the Bean Museum, Wingers and Cafe Rio (our favorites), Progressive tumbling (for an awesome video go to Natalie and Derick's blog on the right). We just had so much fun. Saturday we loaded up in the car at 5:30am and drove to Cali. The kids were awesome and are excited to spend New Year's here

He can dance!

We now have two children that have dancing talent. Today Jace started shaking his booty, just like his big sister.

Merry Christmas!

Just wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas!

3 - 2 - 1 zzzzz

We've had so much fun here in Utah. We got here Tuesday and grandma and grandpa Crane came on Friday night. As most of you know, Lexi loves books...but there comes a point of tiredness when not even an awesome book can keep her awake. I guess it was grandpa's soothing voice??? These three pictures were taken within maybe a minute of each other.

Mommy's favorite

One day the kids and I were in their room and I needed the wipes for Jace...which were in the other room. So I said "Lexi will you do me a favorite (my sister's and I say that)?" And she turns around and starts shaking her booty. She said "That's mommy's favorite." So, now that really is. She cracks me up.

Pictures from Thanksgiving

These are pictures from our Thanksgiving in Washington.

A Week With The Cousins

Last week I got to stay with my sister and her family. Here were some of the highlights:

Jace getting mauled by Katrina...she was just trying to give him loves :-)

It actually snowed there...which doesn't happen too often. My sister says that you have to make the most of the snow, cause it may never happen again. The kids had a lot of fun.

Bryan brought snow inside for Katrina to eat...as you can see, its not yellow :-)

Taking pictures!

Natalie reading books to Lexi

Eating popsicles
(Lexi, Natalie, Max, Mara)

Jumping on Grandpa Bair

The family fun center!

Putting up Christmas

Some other highlights were swimming at the YMCA, shopping, playing on the bacon and eggs, coloring with Mara, drinking hot chocolate while Heather had apple cider, putting on makeup with the kids, playing the piano for Heather and Bryan's vocal duet, and watching Max in a Christmas play. We had such a good time and can't wait to go back!

Thankful for

What an awesome Thanksgiving we had! We got to go home to Ephrata, WA and be with my WHOLE family. Yes, everyone was there! It was nice just to relax and just be with everyone...not to mention the games of racquetball (my sisters and I played a few games. We get a better workout laughing than actually playing). One thing that my mom and sisters have been doing for the past few months is we've been emailing each other every week about 5 things we are thankful for that week. So, over Thanksgiving it was neat to reflect on some of those lists that I've read and see how much we really have in this world and how much we need to be appreciative and thankful for what our Heavenly Father has given us. These lists are a fun way to keep in touch and get to know each other even a little better. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I will post pictures when I get back to NH.

Tagged

I've been tagged 3 times and I'm finally following through! Here are 6 things you may not know about me.

1. I grew up with 3 sisters and one manly brother. When we were younger he taught me how to burp on command. From then on it became a matter of who could belch the loudest. I haven't done it in a long time, so I don't know if i even can anymore, but I used to be able to belch really loud on command. It's probably like riding a bike right???

2. For Christmas one year I got the Under the Sea sing along. I was probably older than I should have been to be getting a sing a long tape, but to this day I still LOVE it. One of my bestest friends sent me a package last week and inside was....my favorite sing a long! It was really for Lexi, but we've watched it everyday since it came. THANKS AUSTYN!

3. When I was in 4th grade, I qualified for the school's spelling bee. I was easily beat out by my cousin, but the next year (5th grade) I won! I went on to the next round and was a nervous wreck. When it was my turn my word was "orphan," a very easy word to spell. When I starting spelling I looked at my dad and my mind went totally blank. "O-R-F-I-N" (that's just how it sounds). Needless to say, I was out in the first round and felt like a total idiot. My family still asks me to spell it every now and then.

4. The only type of fish I like to eat is tuna fish. Other than that, I don't like it. I really wish I did because its so good for you, but I just don't. Every time I'm around it I always try it just to make sure I still don't like it, but the result is always the same. Tyson and I made some salmon last week, because Tyson likes it and we wanted to have a healthy meal. It was alright, but my mind is still not changed.

5. I grew up in the same house that my dad grew up in in a little town called Ephrata, WA. It was pretty big when our town put in its 4th stop light and a super walmart. My graduating class consisted of 120 people. Even though our town is so small, we have a lot of LDS members - 3 wards.

6. This has mellowed out quite a bit, but I am the biggest klutz - I don't have good luck with stairs mostly. In high school I was Miss Ephrata and we went to watch a pagent in Canada, which was a pretty big deal. At this particular pagent, they had all the royalty be introduced up on stage. So while we were in the back waiting to go on, stage we had to walk down a flight of stairs. To make a long story short, I fell down that flight of stairs...In heals, nylons, a formal, crown, the whole bit. I wonder if anyone noticed my messed up hair and the endless snags and runs in my nylons. Another instance, first day of classes at BYU...yep fell down some stairs right outside an in session classroom. EVERYONE in that class saw.

Well there's a little bit about me.

Who's Who???

People always ask me if Jace looked like Lexi did when she was a baby. Looking at them right now, I always say you can tell they are siblings, but I've never thought that they looked that much alike. But, this year for Halloween we put Jace in the same costume that Lexi used when she was a baby (totally lame I know, but we did). I was really surprised when I compared pictures of the two of them. If I wasn't in the picture, could you tell who's who?

Thank You Music Man

On Wednesdays we go to singing time (or Music Man) in the mornings. The kids love it! This is one of the rhymes that Lexi apparently likes A LOT!

The words to the rhyme are:
This is baby ready for a nap
Lay him down in his mother's lap
Cover him up so he won't peek
Rock him til he's fast asleep
Bye-o baby-o
Off to dreamland you must go

She loves it! Thanks Music Man!!

Under the Table

Jace's new favorite thing is to crawl under the table. Sometimes he gets stuck and teeters on the bars of the chairs, but he eventually finds a way to make it under the table. Its like a little fort for him, I guess...he really is a boy.

The last of Halloween

I was trying to decide all day if we should even go trick or treating, since all Lexi needed was a lollypop and she'd be happy. But she was so cute in her ballerina outfit that we decided we'd go out and have fun.

We didn't dress Jace up to go trick or treating, but he wore his cute Ghost shirt all day! -Thanks Grandma Bair

*Quick story: Since Jace is really good at getting around now, he likes to pull himself up to the dishwasher while I'm doing dishes. But since he's still not too steady on his feet, he usually falls and hits his head on something. The scab by his eye is from the corner of the dishwasher :-(

Carving Pumpkins

Saturday afternoon, while Jace was taking a nap, Lexi and I carved pumpkins...well, a pumpkin. Lexi didn't understand that we were supposed to make a face in the pumpkin, she just wanted to keep cutting away at it.

It took a lot to get her to touch the seeds...as you can tell by the fake smile. She doesn't like her hands sticky or messy.

She kept saying "cut right here." So we'd cut there. Do you love the giant hole???

The finished product...Isn't that the most beautiful piece of work you've ever seen??? Lexi was pretty excited about her very first carved pumpkin!

Oh how they grow

Lexi has always loved to sing! This first video was taken today while we were playing with playdo. The second video was taken back in April before Jace was born. There's so much difference in just 6 months!

Trick or Treat

Here in Concord they do an awesome thing for Halloween. The Friday before Halloween, they open up all the shops downtown for the kids to go trick or treating too. Everyone and their dog shows up, so it gets pretty crazy, but the kids love it - well Lexi loved the lollypops more!

Kya, Mia, and baby Boston

Of course Tyson had to dress for the occasion - thanks dad for the flight suit!
Ballerina Lexi and chili pepper Jace

Cutest ballerina ever! - Thanks Necia for the tutu

Pray for Mara

This is my little niece Mara, who's 5 years old. We just found out that she has an inoperable tumor on her brain stem, which is pretty much the worst place you could have it. They start radiation Monday or Tuesday. Seven years ago, we found out that my littlest sister had a brain tumor, and at that point, the doctors gave her only 4 months to live. She is fine now and in remission. In that regard, we saw first hand a miracle and know that the doctors are not always right, which gives us a little hope. If everyone could, say a prayer for sweet little Mara and my sister's family!

It's been so much fun having everyone come and visit us. My parents were here this passed weekend and we had so much fun! Here are some pictures of our fun time together.

Is this kid for real?

Somehow Tyson and I produced some freak of nature child. He is doing things so early; I'm a little frightened...ok I'm really frightened. This kid is going to be a handful. This past week he started pulling himself up to things... Let me remind you that he is only 5 1/2 months old.

Friends???

It's pretty fun now that Lexi and Jace can interact with each other. Most of the time its quite fun to watch. I walked in one day and saw Lexi doing this to him. Notice how at the end of the movie, Jace realizes that it really doesn't feel so good.
