Thankful for

What an awesome Thanksgiving we had! We got to go home to Ephrata, WA and be with my WHOLE family. Yes, everyone was there! It was nice just to relax and just be with everyone...not to mention the games of racquetball (my sisters and I played a few games. We get a better workout laughing than actually playing). One thing that my mom and sisters have been doing for the past few months is we've been emailing each other every week about 5 things we are thankful for that week. So, over Thanksgiving it was neat to reflect on some of those lists that I've read and see how much we really have in this world and how much we need to be appreciative and thankful for what our Heavenly Father has given us. These lists are a fun way to keep in touch and get to know each other even a little better. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I will post pictures when I get back to NH.

Tagged

I've been tagged 3 times and I'm finally following through! Here are 6 things you may not know about me.

1. I grew up with 3 sisters and one manly brother. When we were younger he taught me how to burp on command. From then on it became a matter of who could belch the loudest. I haven't done it in a long time, so I don't know if i even can anymore, but I used to be able to belch really loud on command. It's probably like riding a bike right???

2. For Christmas one year I got the Under the Sea sing along. I was probably older than I should have been to be getting a sing a long tape, but to this day I still LOVE it. One of my bestest friends sent me a package last week and inside was....my favorite sing a long! It was really for Lexi, but we've watched it everyday since it came. THANKS AUSTYN!

3. When I was in 4th grade, I qualified for the school's spelling bee. I was easily beat out by my cousin, but the next year (5th grade) I won! I went on to the next round and was a nervous wreck. When it was my turn my word was "orphan," a very easy word to spell. When I starting spelling I looked at my dad and my mind went totally blank. "O-R-F-I-N" (that's just how it sounds). Needless to say, I was out in the first round and felt like a total idiot. My family still asks me to spell it every now and then.

4. The only type of fish I like to eat is tuna fish. Other than that, I don't like it. I really wish I did because its so good for you, but I just don't. Every time I'm around it I always try it just to make sure I still don't like it, but the result is always the same. Tyson and I made some salmon last week, because Tyson likes it and we wanted to have a healthy meal. It was alright, but my mind is still not changed.

5. I grew up in the same house that my dad grew up in in a little town called Ephrata, WA. It was pretty big when our town put in its 4th stop light and a super walmart. My graduating class consisted of 120 people. Even though our town is so small, we have a lot of LDS members - 3 wards.

6. This has mellowed out quite a bit, but I am the biggest klutz - I don't have good luck with stairs mostly. In high school I was Miss Ephrata and we went to watch a pagent in Canada, which was a pretty big deal. At this particular pagent, they had all the royalty be introduced up on stage. So while we were in the back waiting to go on, stage we had to walk down a flight of stairs. To make a long story short, I fell down that flight of stairs...In heals, nylons, a formal, crown, the whole bit. I wonder if anyone noticed my messed up hair and the endless snags and runs in my nylons. Another instance, first day of classes at BYU...yep fell down some stairs right outside an in session classroom. EVERYONE in that class saw.

Well there's a little bit about me.

Who's Who???

People always ask me if Jace looked like Lexi did when she was a baby. Looking at them right now, I always say you can tell they are siblings, but I've never thought that they looked that much alike. But, this year for Halloween we put Jace in the same costume that Lexi used when she was a baby (totally lame I know, but we did). I was really surprised when I compared pictures of the two of them. If I wasn't in the picture, could you tell who's who?

Thank You Music Man

On Wednesdays we go to singing time (or Music Man) in the mornings. The kids love it! This is one of the rhymes that Lexi apparently likes A LOT!

The words to the rhyme are:
This is baby ready for a nap
Lay him down in his mother's lap
Cover him up so he won't peek
Rock him til he's fast asleep
Bye-o baby-o
Off to dreamland you must go

She loves it! Thanks Music Man!!

Under the Table

Jace's new favorite thing is to crawl under the table. Sometimes he gets stuck and teeters on the bars of the chairs, but he eventually finds a way to make it under the table. Its like a little fort for him, I guess...he really is a boy.

The last of Halloween

I was trying to decide all day if we should even go trick or treating, since all Lexi needed was a lollypop and she'd be happy. But she was so cute in her ballerina outfit that we decided we'd go out and have fun.

We didn't dress Jace up to go trick or treating, but he wore his cute Ghost shirt all day! -Thanks Grandma Bair

*Quick story: Since Jace is really good at getting around now, he likes to pull himself up to the dishwasher while I'm doing dishes. But since he's still not too steady on his feet, he usually falls and hits his head on something. The scab by his eye is from the corner of the dishwasher :-(

Trick or treating with Kya and Mia
