Us

Since September is almost gone, I'd thought I would do a post about our month. With this month down that means I only have one more month of pregnancy to go. Honestly, I'm exhausted. I don't remember being this tired with my other two, but Tyson tries to remind me that this is exactly how I was with the others...funny how you forget things like that.

We've finally gotten into the "school" routine. I know there were some worried people out there wondering how the Cranes were ever going to get up early to get their kid off to school. Well, we have! I bought Lexi her own alarm clock and she gets up all by herself every morning. This way, she's waking us up and we're not having to drag her out of bed. It works out great because a few times a week I'll get Lexi on the bus and then put Jace in the stroller (yes, still sleeping) and go for a little walk. On the days I'm not feeling the walk, I have time to go back to bed if I want.

Jace is still adjusting to Lexi being at school all day. He went through a rough couple of weeks, but I think he's getting used to it...just in time for the baby to come :-) I signed him up for a class at the rec center called Zoom Around the Room..which he loved. He's such a funny kid and I'm glad I have this one on one time with him.

Tyson has been busy at work as usual, but got to participate in the Ragnar relay this past weekend. It really does make me sick that he can go running a couple of Saturdays the past month and then go run a relay...his total miles being 18...seriously?

Well that's pretty much all we've been up to...here's a cute video for your enjoyment...oh I forgot to mention that my lack of blogging may be due to the fact that Tyson and I got iphones and I'm hardly ever on the computer anymore...love it!

So here's my big kindergarten girl...isn't she cute? I don't know what the big deal was...my little 5 year old getting on the school bus, going to school all day, big deal right?!?! Not!.. I was a total basket case. I held it together really well until the bus drove away...don't go! and then I pulled myself together and lost it again when Tyson decided to go to work...why did everyone have to start leaving me? The tears were in full force til Jace woke up to play with me...then I was much better! However, I did want to follow the bus to school this morning, I did want to go peek my head in her classroom, just to make sure she'd made it, and I did want to email her teacher to see how she was doing...but I didn't. She made it home and had a great first day of school. One day down...12 years to go!

Jace asked multiple times during the day where Lexi was and was anxious to have his playmate back when she got home...I guess I'm not as fun as Lexi

Aw, friends!

Baltimore

We had a wonderful labor day weekend. We had Tyson ALL day on Saturday, which has not happened in a very long time. We went to the pool, cleaned the cars, Tyson took the kiddos for smoothies, and then we ended the night with a barbeque and rock band with the Woods' and Bateman's. It was a great day! Saturday night we decided, last minute obviously, to just go somewhere and have a little getaway. So we got on priceline, (which if you've never done before, I highly recommend! We got hooked up at the hilton for way cheapo!) and bid on a hotel room in the inner harbor in Baltimore. Our low ball offer was miraculously accepted, so we packed up Sunday after church and headed up there. I know it doesn't seem like much of a getaway, being only over an hour away, but it was much needed and so much fun!

Monday morning we headed to the acquarium, which was within walking distance from our hotel. Lexi thought this fish was so funny cause it was kissing the glass.

Bubble tanks were a hit

After the acquarium we ended our little trip with lunch at the Cheesecake Factory! mmmm, dulce de leche cheesecake, so good!

And here is Tyson enjoying not being at work...which didn't last long since we dropped him off at the office on our way back to town. But we had such a fun weekend!

Lately...

I still cannot wrap my brain around the fact that Lexi is starting school next week...WHAT?!?! Since I know it's going to come whether I like it or not, we've been having a lot of playtime before we start in on the craziness of starting school. Ok, I know it's not going to be crazy, but we've never really had a routine before and quite honestly, I'm not looking forward to waking up early every day for the next 20+ years. I'm am excited for all the new things Lexi will be learning and the new friends she will be making...it's still weird though!

So in the meantime, we took a trip to the zoo with the Allen's
Jace, Abby, Lexi, Zach, Russell

Last weekend we went into DC for the Glenn Beck Restoring Honor Rally

We went and had a movie night with the Bohn's for Family night, which was great until Jace slipped and split his eyebrow open on the coffee table. Took him to the ER for some stitches, however, will be getting a nice bill for some super glue.

We did the family night at Bohn's to watch Night at the Museum and then thought it would be fun to go to the Natural History Museum within the next few days...so we did just that.

And this is my big kindergardener right before we went to meet her teacher and see her classroom. She's so excited to start school and she apologized to me today for continuing to grow up...she just can't help it :-)
