Hawaii!!!

Oh man, it is sooooo cold back home!!! We are already planning our next trip to Hawaii. We had such an amazing time. Thanks to my parents who watched the kiddos for us! We went to the big island and stayed on the Kona side and took over 700 pics so narrowing it down was quite the challenge, but i think you get the idea.

What an amazing sunset!

We flew in Saturday the 26th around the same time as Devin and Kaydee. For dinner we hit up Bubba Gumps...yum and we got a seat right on the water!
Merce and Ted flew in Sunday so our adventures began on Monday.
Day 1: Snorkel tour. We got on a zodiak boat and went snorkeling in two different bays. One of them was at Captain Cook's monument at Kealakekua bay. This was the first time i'd been snorkeling and was probably my favorite part of the trip. I couldn't believe all the different kid of fish, they were so pretty! Unfortunately Tyson and Devin both got sea sick and didn't enjoy it quite so much.
Another highlight was shopping downtown. It's such a quaint little town and it was pretty weird to see christmas decorations up while we were strutting around in our swimsuits.

Aren't we cute?
Another amazing sunset

Day two we went to see the Akaka falls and the rainbow beach falls. Pretty cool walking through lush green forests

BEACH DAY...another favorite! I think I would be happy laying on a beach for the rest of my life. A girl can dream right?

Fish tacos at the marina

The boys tried surfing. This island is not known for their surfing waves, but they gave it a good effort

This is at the black sand beach

Another cool part was seeing all the sea turtles. They were all over the place at the black sands beach

We also went to check out the volcano. This is in front of one of the giant craters

It was amazing to see all the steam vents...real good for the skin

Another beach day! Hotties

The last night we went to a luau

And...our favorite parts of Hawaii:

Other highlights:
Going to the free zoo in Hilo and seeing the anteaters...have you ever seen one in real life? They are huge and so so ugly!
Randomly finding and hiking trails through the tropical forest at sunset
The boys breaking open the coconuts
We also went and saw a manta ray feeding
Getting a few light slams at the beaches
Going jogging
hot tubbing at night
being warm
Going to church and seeing the temple
SHAVED ICE EVERYDAY...minus one
Being with Dev, Kaydee, Merce, and Ted. We are so blessed to have such an awesome family!

Family pics

We had family pics done a few weeks ago and when we were done I was upset cause I didn't think we had any good ones...there was one kid, make it two (who may have been boys, no not Tyson) who were less than cooperative. There were quite a few good ones to choose from. Here are some of my favorites

Soccer

Lexi has been playing soccer the past few months. It's been so cute to see her try something new and she was actually pretty good at it. I didn't realize how fast of a little runner she is, but she is speedy! The coach would tell her that he needed her break away speed. She went through a spell where she didn't want to play cause she was nervous, but she got over it and I'm proud of her for sticking with it. Five and six year old soccer is pretty hilarious to watch! I had a video I was trying to upload but it was taking too long, so here are some pics!

He's 1

I can't believe my big baby is 1 year old! He is such a happy boy and is always making us laugh. My mom and sister, Kim, and her kids came over to be here on his birthday. Friday we went shopping and hit some major sales, it was awesome! Saturday (his birthday) we got up and headed to Lexi's soccer game. They were good sports to go in the frigid weather.

Here's the birthday boy!

opening presents

Grandma Crane sent this cute remote controlled cat
During his morning nap there was a nerf war going on while Kim and I made lunch

I love this one of my mom getting in on the action. The best was when she hit Tyson right in the eye and the dart stuck on his glasses!

Birthday cake

The cake was fun and all til he started throwing it all over the floor :-) Pretty low key birthday, but he didn't know the difference. We're so glad to have this kid in our family. He's so much fun and can always cheer us up if we are having a bad day. Happy Birthday Coleson! Just FYI: he's 22lbs (50%) and 32 inches tall (95%)
