This week

This kid is doing new things every week. This past week he learned the stairs...oh boy! He's going to be walking before we know it! I finally got him into the doctor this past week. He's dropped from being in the 75% when he was 4 months to the 30%, weighing 18 lbs 10 ounces...crawling off all that weight I guess. He's just over 50th percent for his height.

BFF's

Aw, Lexi and Gretta...where to start on these two. Before we moved we took a lot of pictures of Lexi and Gretta together. Luckily since then the Bohn's have moved closer this way, so there is a chance we will see them again..wasn't likely if they stayed on the east.

These two girls have been friends since they were 13 and 14 months old, when we met them in NH for law school. Look how little they are!

We've followed each other around for the past 5 years. These girls really didn't become best friends though until we got to DC and they got to be in primary together.

And since it's hard moving to a new area and meeting new people, we didn't for awhile. We just hung out with them a lot...at least 3 times a week if not more...until kindergarten started.

Lexi motivated Gretta to start walking...Gretta motivated Lexi to start swimming

Gretta taught Lexi how to be crazy and silly and Lexi was always Gretta's Jiminy Cricket...making sure she was doing the right thing :-)

So many kisses and hugs these past few years

They did preschool together and took a tap/ballet class together

Lexi says her favorite thing about Gretta is "she is always so funny and makes me laugh really really hard."
How cute are they?!?!

So many memories! It has been so much fun to watch these two grow...and yes, Melanie and I have already planned for them to be roommies someday!

New things

So you know how I just did a post about Coleson doing the worm??? Well, that didn't last long. He's full on crawling now. Within the last few days he's also started clapping. It's so fun (and sad) to see him figure out these new things! I just can't get over how cute this little guy is!

6

It was Lexi Loo's birthday yesterday. I can't believe she is 6 years old! Wasn't I just in the hospital having her? She is such a sweet girl. She's so helpful around the house and plays so well with her brothers. It's been such a joy to see her grow, even if she did tell me she would stop growing when she was 5.

The morning started with presents of course

After school we went in and met Tyson for lunch at Sonic. She got that hat from school and she wore it pretty much all day!

We then headed to check out Manito park here in Spokane. This park is AMAZING! We were there for almost 3 hours and probably saw half of it. There were different kinds of gardens, a playground, pond, and a LOT more!
The kids loved the duck pond
Her friend Kamaile came over to play.

And nothing like some speghetti O's and smoothies to complete a 6 year old birthday!

Memorial Weekend

For Memorial weekend we headed over to Ephrata for some family time! Have I mentioned that I LOVE being so close to my fam! We decided to go do a little hike to the wild horses monument in Vantage. In all the years of living in central WA, this is something we have never done. What a spectacular view! We were all there except my brother Kyle and his family.

The little hike was straight up and down and miraculously no one got hurt!
Coleson didn't mind the rocky terrain

We also had a little birthday party for Lexi and Ellen. Lexi's birthday is the 1st of June and Ellen's is the 2nd.

And what's a birthday party without a pinata?

And pinata hats???

Such a fun weekend. We also went and saw Kung Fu Panda 2, played some wallyball, bike rides, and lots of yummy food!
