Aw, Lexi and Gretta...where to start on these two. Before we moved we took a lot of pictures of Lexi and Gretta together. Luckily since then the Bohn's have moved closer this way, so there is a chance we will see them again..wasn't likely if they stayed on the east.
These two girls have been friends since they were 13 and 14 months old, when we met them in NH for law school. Look how little they are!

We've followed each other around for the past 5 years. These girls really didn't become best friends though until we got to DC and they got to be in primary together.
And since it's hard moving to a new area and meeting new people, we didn't for awhile. We just hung out with them a lot...at least 3 times a week if not more...until kindergarten started.
Lexi motivated Gretta to start walking...Gretta motivated Lexi to start swimming
Gretta taught Lexi how to be crazy and silly and Lexi was always Gretta's Jiminy Cricket...making sure she was doing the right thing :-)
So many kisses and hugs these past few years
They did preschool together and took a tap/ballet class together
Lexi says her favorite thing about Gretta is "she is always so funny and makes me laugh really really hard."
How cute are they?!?!

man the way this post built up I thought you were going to say RIP Gretta or something. I thought it was a "in memory of" post! What a relief!!!
OK, so OBVIOUSLY I'm way behind on looking at blogs, but this is the greatest post ever and made me get all teary eyed!!! I am SO glad we got super camera happy the last few months of living close to each other. I LOOOOVE the frame you sent with the pics of them in it and it sits right by Miss G's bed. She still talks about her Lexi. It's funny to realize how rare it is to find a friend who complements you so well. I love all the stuff you said about the things they would bring out in each other. So true and so perfect. I'm so glad the heavens coordinated it so we could follow each other around the country for five years! Love you guys and miss you!
