New Tricks

Jace has figured out a few tricks. He now likes to talk on the phone. Sometime's he'll actually say
"hi" but he didn't do it while I was videoing. He's getting really good at standing and is starting to take a few steps. He'll be running all over the place before we know it...yikes!

This is just a video of his huge muscles...he gets them from his daddy :-)

The Three Bears

We went to the library a few weeks ago and got The Three Bears book...Lexi LOVES it! I probably read that book to her a hundred times. So, last night she was in the tub and I had gotten Jace out and was getting him dressed when I heard her talking and making some funny noises. I didn't think anything of it, because that's what she usually does. Then I started making out what she was saying. In a deep voice she'd say "Someone has been sitting in my tub"....then in a higher voice "Someone has been sitting in my tub"...then in the highest voice possible she said "Someone has been sitting in my tub and I said I didn't want to share." I went in there and she had her princesses lined up with some tupperware acting as their tubs. She didn't want to return the book yesterday when it was due, so today we are making our own Three Bears Book...one she can keep forever!

Valentine's Day!

For anniversaries and Valentine's Day, instead of getting each other separate gifts, Tyson and I go in together and get something for the both of us. So, we decided for Valentine's day we would get a love sac (a.k.a. shag bag, bean bag, foam bag). We've wanted to get one for a long time, so we just used Valentine's day as an excuse to get one. We ordered it way early and after much waiting it came just in time! I know its for the two of us, but I think Lexi and Jace like it more than we do.

Double chinned babies

I know a few of you have seen these pictures, but I was going through old ones (yes again) and I found these. I laugh everytime I look at them. It's really funny, I can't remember who I was talking to about this but, I was saying that looking back at pictures, I kind of had some funny looking babies. Of course I NEVER thought that at the time (that would kind of be messed up if I did), but these pictures prove what I was talking about. Can you tell them apart? Lexi is the first one.

My new baby

Last year I had an itch to take violin lessons after hearing a girl from church play. I've always loved the violin, but never really had the desire to learn...until now. When we were in Utah for Christmas there was another lady who played in church and hearing her play sparked my interest even more. So, I talked to some people (thanks Susan!) and found someone to teach me lessons, and I found another someone to sell me a violin. So, I've completed two lessons and let me just say it is really harder than it looks. At this point it's pretty much painful for me, and everyone else, to hear myself practice. Lexi always covers her ears when I start playing. But, its fun learning something new and hopefully one day I'll be able to play without sound too awful. Thanks Barry and Kristy!

Hard floors

The solution to getting around on those hard kitchen floors, when you can't walk yet:
