Party Weekend

We had a fun weekend. Friday night all our law school friends (that are in Utah) came over for chalupas and rock band. Lexi has really missed her friends, so she was in heaven with all of them here!

Then Saturday night we had a surprise party for Kaydee's birthday!

I don't know what got into me last week, but I all of the sudden started doing all these crafty domestic things. The week started off on Monday when my sister, Kim came over and we made hair bows...aren't they cute??? And they were super easy too!

Then I painted the bathroom - still need to get the towel rods up and stuff, but the painting is all done

Then my sister-in-law Kaydee taught me how to make one of those shag quilts. Here's the finished product. Sorry Scoob if you see this before it gets to your house :-) Not the best, but not bad for not ever sewing since I was like 10 years old (and even then, my mom did most of what I was doing).

Random

A few weeks ago my sister Kim and I (and Jace) were wrapping presents and after a little bit I looked down at the floor and saw a chunk of hair. Lexi was gone at preschool, but it was so dark that I was like "Did Lexi cut her hair?" We looked at Jace and said "Did Jace cut his hair." Kim leaned over and he had some long hairs down his forhead. Yep, it was him! Not only was it in the front, but it was dead center. Way to go Jace!

In other news: Jace's fingernail finally fell off from when Lexi slammed it in the door...looks great!

Calling all Choristers....or creative people

This is me now...the first week we were here in Utah they put me in as primary chorister, for the senior primary. It is SO much fun! I didn't think it would be as fun as it it, but I LOVE it! The only problem I have is I am not creative enough to come up with ideas by myself. There are a lot of good ideas online that I find and tweek a little bit to fit this primary. So, if you have any ideas or remember any good ones that stuck in your mind from when you were little, I would love to hear them!

The Usual

I can't believe that January is over!  I am kind of glad because I really like February...birthday's (mine, Merce, Kaydee, Germ) and Valentine's Day!  I'm a little bit ashamed to admit this, but we've been in Utah for a month now and still have not found a routine.  I thought with Lexi going to preschool that might force us into one a little bit.  However, every day is different.  I guess you could say it keeps things interesting.  The thing that has been the hardest is in the past two weeks, Jace has decided that he doesn't want to sleep in his crib anymore and not only does he not want to sleep in his crib, he's decided he is done taking naps!  WHAT?!?!  He's not even 2 yet and done with naps! I think this is unacceptable, but as much as I want to, I cannot force him to sleep.  At least he's been going to bed between 7 and 7:30, but still, what gives???  So, that has been the drama around the Crane Household, a.k.a The Cranitage.
