June

June just flew by! We have been going non stop all month with the move and school getting out and everything.  June 1st was an eventful day in the Crane household.

Lexi turned 7. I can't believe how big she is!  She is such a cute and sweet girl!

We also bought our first house that day!  This is after we did all the signing, our realtor took us to lunch to celebrate.  Like I said in my last post, it's pretty surreal that we will be staying put for awhile.

Lexi wanted to go to Tomato Street for her birthday dinner

My grandma and grandpa Walter stopped in Ephrata for a few days, so we went to see the.  Here they are with their great grandkids

I had my last group lesson/recital with my piano students.  I'm so proud of all of them for all their hard work this past year.

Lexi got to get out of school a few days early because of the move.  Here's her last day with her teacher Ms. O'Donnell

My SIL, Necia and her kids came over for a few days to help with the move.  Necia is seriously so awesome!  I couldn't have done it without her and it was shocking that the kids did so well while we ignored them while packing.  I had gotten a nasty sinus infection, so really, I couldn't have done it without her. We took a break and went to the Medical Lake parade, mostly to get the kids out of the way while they guys were loading up the trailer.

My dad and brother came Friday night to help load and unload everything. And, not only did Necia come and help me pack up and load stuff, she took Lexi and Jace home with her for a few days so I could get some stuff unpacked without the rugrats around. This guy loved having all that attention for a few days :-)

Then my sister, Kim and her kids came and helped me too!  Man, my family is awesome! Here are Lexi and Ellen acting as decorations while trying to decide what we should put in that spot

James and Coleson loved playing in the rocks

On the 27th we headed over to Ephrata for a baby shower for Kim.

Update

So it's been a month since I've posted anything.  A lot has been going on.  Here's a recap:

My mom and sisters (minus Alli) came over for Time Out for Women.  Tyson ended up taking the kids over to Ephrata to have "boys...and kids" conference.  I'm glad we took this picture because during the Saturday morning session Kim decided she needed to get checked out at the hospital. She's 24 weeks preggo and was cramping.  She had her 2nd baby 8 weeks early, so we all headed to the hospital to make sure everything was ok. Even though we missed a lot of the conference we felt like we got a lot out of what we did hear, and it was fun to be together with the girls.

Gotta bust out the sprinklers when it gets hot out

or just play in the bucket

Tyson's brother, Devin and his wife, Kaydee, have been trying to adopt for a little while and they were blessed with an adorable baby boy.  We are so excited for them and can't wait to meet little Carson.

Tyson turned 31 on April 25, we are getting old :-)

Jace turned 5 on April 30. I can't believe he is this big!  It's even more crazy that he starts kindergarten in the fall.

We celebrated his birthday at Chuck e cheese.  Grandma and aunt Kim and her kids were able to come over and celebrate with us. This was the first time i'd ever used fondant too...not bad huh?

And look at this girl...she's so cute! - just had to add that

And this little guy is getting so big too.  He's talking more and more every day.  I have such a love/hate relationship with this age.  It's so fun to listen to him talk and do all these new things, but he sure is a pain at church, or anywhere else where he has to sit still

Getting a picture to give to the grandmas for mother's day

Jace doing some sweet hand stands

It's so fun that we are close and could spend the day with my mom for Mother's day.  She really is the greatest!

Other exciting news: We bought a house! We close June 4th...which is coming up soon! I will post pics once we get our stuff in and situated.   Lexi doesn't get out of school until the 19th so we probably won't move in until after that sometime.  But we are super excited! Crazy to think we will be staying put for awhile.

Easter

It's crazy to me that it's been a year since we moved to Washington. We spent Easter in Utah last year as well, during our drive across the country.  Maybe we should make it a yearly thing...Easter in Utah, not the drive across the country.  Here are some pics of our festivities:

Spring Break

Well, I have about 400 pictures from our trip to Utah. We decided to head down to see some family and friends for spring break. We had such a great time and it's always good to get away! We got in just in time for Tyson to head to priesthood session while I got to see some of my old roommies. Here's what's we've been up to the last 10 years....what? it's been 10 years?!?!

Cooper and Brody (Austyn's), Gracie (Brittany's), Jace, Coleson, Lexi (me), Aveya (Marissa's), and Hailey and Drew, and one more on the way (Andi's)

I was going to get an old roomie picture to put with this one, but we all look the same :-)

We went to see the Bohn's who moved to Utah shortly after we moved to WA. I love how we have followed each other around the country :-)...even if we aren't in the same state
A visit with Grandpa Crane and more family

A visit with Grandma and grandpa Walter

Dying easter eggs

We went to temple square one morning since the kids have never gone before. My favorite part was watching a movie on families that was very touching. The kids liked it because we got to move from room to room depending on the setting of the movie.

We had some good weather while we were there so we took advantage and headed to the park a few times

I told the kids to see how many pine cones they could find and all the kids at the park joined in. Kept them occupied for quite awhile

Then we had a meeting to decide what we should do with them. The consensus was to make a human

A walk at Bridal Veil Falls

This was probably my favorite part of the whole trip. We took Lexi and Jace skiing for the first time. I wasn't planning on going, but last minute I decided to go. I'm so glad I did. Huge thanks to Austyn, Dustin, and Merce. We met Devin and Kaydee up at Snowbird, got our rentals and hit the bunny hill. I was quite nervous, especially for Jace because he gets so cold and cries a lot. Lexi is very cautious too so I thought it could be a very long and miserable day. However, both of them did AWESOME! I couldn't believe it. Lexi picked it up really fast. The first run with Jace took forever but the second run down he figured out how to stop and from there on he did great. His favorite part was when he went off a jump (it was pretty much just a pile of packed snow, like 2") and when he drifted. It was so cute. He kept saying "that was awesome!" I was so proud of both of them!!!

We got to be there to celebrate Aveya's first birthday! Such a cutie!

Group shot

What a fun trip. Thanks again Austyn and Dustin, and Merce and Ted, for letting us crash with you guys!!!
