New Dresser

When we moved here we realized we didn't have as much closet space as we did in VA, so the hunt was on for some dressers. I scored one for the boys room at a garage sale, which looks pretty much brand new, for $25!. We also found this one below for $30. We figured with a little bit of work this thing could be a real beauty. I soon came to find out that I hate projects that take longer than a week...this seriouly took 3 months to actually finish. Took the pictures with my phone so they are not that great, but you get the idea.

This is with the first drawer all stripped and sanded

The finished product. It was a good learning experience, but when its all said and done we could have gotten a brand new dresser from Ikea for almost the same price, it was so expensive getting all new pulls and knobs for this thing. oh well. Originally we were going to use this in Lexi's room, but after all that work I decided to keep it for myself :-) I think it turned out really good though!

1st grade

Alexa finally started school today...FYI, she goes by Alexa at school. Big 1st grader! They started so late because they were working on finishing her school, it's real nice. Can't believe I have a 1st grader. Isn't she just so cute?!?!

The Adams Family

My sister, Heather, and her kids came over for a few days from Seattle. It was a quick trip but the kids were in heaven...at least mine were :-) We decided to head down to good ol Medical Lake one day. Unfortunately when they came the weather decided to cool down to about 60 degrees. Needless to say we had the whole beach to ourselves.

Still warm enough to play in the dirt

Look a deer! haha, I love this pic

And this guy is just sooo cute!

The next day my mom and sister Kim were so nice to come over and watch Coleson and Sadie so we could take off and go to Silverwood with the bigger kids. It was nice for the rides because it was cooler outside, but once again it was a little chilly for the water park portion. Oh well, the kids didn't care too much and still got in the water. I wish I would have taken more pics, but this is what I got.

The train ride. This was one of the funniest parts to me. During the train ride they tell you to watch out out for the bandits who had escaped into the woods. They do this little act and at one point the bandits capture the train and point guns at all the passengers. They said "Everyone put your hands in the air" and Jace with tears in his eyes says with his little trembly voice "are they gonna shoot me?" hahahah. I was so cute, sad, and hilarious! I guess he didn't pick up on their horrible, i mean, awesome, acting skills

The froggy hopper was Lexi's favorite ride...they all look so excited in this picture.

I soon found out that my kids are pretty much wuses. They did like the little little rides. And Lexi threw up all over our comforter that night...so she's got a weak stomach. Maybe in a few years they will grow out of it and will become dare devils???

We had a great time and glad the Adams Family came to see us (minus Bryan)!

8 years

Last Friday (the 12th), Tyson and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary. My parents had gotten us tickets to Les Miserables for my dad's birthday (still not sure how that was for his birthday cause we all didn't even go together, but whatever, worked out great for our anniversary :-) We took one picture on Tyson's phone that night at the play and that was it...bummer. We met up with Kyle and Necia for dinner at the Wild Ginger since it was almost their anniversary too and then headed to the play. It was amazing! The fam was nice enough to watch the kids over night so we could have a night to ourselves. Thanks again guys!!! This is the most recent picture I have of the two of us...aren't we just cute! Happy anniversary to us!

Seattle

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE being close to family!?!?! Well, I do! Lexi got to go over to Seattle and participate in a dance camp with her cousin, Katrina. It was in the mornings for a week. The last day we got to go and see what they had done. I must say it was pretty stinkin' cute and Lexi had a great time!

twinners

We stayed another week at Heathers house and had a blast! Here were some highlights:

Going to the park...they had fun posing for the pics...I didn't even tell them to do this

Lexi, Natalie, Katrina, Jace, Sadie

Going swimming...I think this was Coleson's favorite!

How cute is this girl?!?! Sadie was so fearless in the water

The waster was too cold for Jace so he sat on this floatie the whole time and collected ducks

Saturday we went to Northwest trek. It was pretty cool. You get on a little bus and drive around and look at the elk, deer, bison, goats, etc.

See the raccoon in the back. Jace asked if the raccoon let all it's stink out, ahah...uh, wrong animal buddy :-)

Snow cones were usually on the agenda.

There is this little trail by their house that has an amazing view. How beautiful is this? The girls loved that they all had matching shirts...$2.99 at children's place!
Much time was spent on the trampoline

playing basketball

trying to contain this boy was a challenge. He is all over the place right now and into everything.

Splash park, which lasts all of about 5 minutes cause it was a little chilly out

We went to the beach one day. We left before lunch and were worried because it was pretty cloudy, but as soon as we got there the clouds separated and the sun came out. It was so pretty! The kids didn't get in the water cause it was frigid, but they had a good time playing in the rocks and digging

Coleson got dragged around everywhere...sometime you have to improvise for nap time. He surprisingly lasted a good 20 min in there

We left the beach and decided to stop at the flower garden.

And then my camera died...what do you expect after all that right??? What a good time we had!
Much of the days consisted of the girls putting together fashion shows and dances...Lexi loved being girly with them! Thanks Heather and Bryan for putting up with us for so long!
